Summary

  • Document completed Slack → Mattermost import in docs/HANDOFF.md (channel map, caveats, Irina note, re-run steps).
  • Update README import section to match the real mmetl/mmctl flow.
  • Teach prepare-export to apply mattermost_channel renames and inject user_emails.
  • Ignore .tools/, prepared export zips.

Test plan

  • Import already live on https://slack.levkin.ca (team levkin)
  • Spot-check Zoey name lists + a property channel in MM
  • Optional: make test-unit after pull
